DESCRIPTION
Medical Terminology Course II: Endocrine, Blood & Lymphatic, Cardiovascular, and Respiratory
In this second course of the Medical Terminology specialization, you will continue to expand your vocabulary as you’re introduced to a host of new roots, terms, and abbreviations that are specific to the four important body systems: endocrine, cardiovascular, blood and lymphatic, and respiratory. In addition to watching fun class videos and testing your skills through interactive activities and real-life examples, you will also have the opportunity to present your skills in communicating within a medical setting.
You will be able to:
- Identify and define common word parts and terms associated with the endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, and respiratory systems to increase your medical vocabulary;
- Connect medical terms of the endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, and respiratory systems with the appropriate electronic health record section to relate new knowledge to current healthcare documentation practice;
- Explain the basic purpose and anatomy of the endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, and respiratory systems.
