Understanding Cancer: Anti-Cancer Living

How can healthy living support cancer risk reduction?

Anti-Cancer Living explores an integrative approach to health and well-being through six interconnected areas: social support, stress management, sleep, physical activity and exercise, diet, and avoiding unnecessary environmental exposures. You’ll take a closer look at each area while also considering how they can connect and work together. Throughout the course, opportunities for reflection will help you consider what you are learning in the context of your own life.

You’ll also hear from cancer survivor, journalist, and advocate Loriana Hernández-Aldama. Drawing on her experiences as both a health reporter and a patient, Loriana offers a personal perspective on cancer care, preparation, self-advocacy, support, access, and survivorship. Her story invites you to look beyond the diagnosis and consider what it means to see and support the whole person experiencing cancer.
