DESCRIPTION
Assessing Cultural Climate
How will you know if your DE&I strategies are implemented effectively? It’s important to measure and assess progress along the way. The fourth course in Rice’s DE&I Specialization is intended to introduce you to evaluation tools and equip you with both traditional and innovative methods of measurement. This will aid you in making informed decisions to enhance your diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. In addition, you will broaden your understanding of how to create fair and inclusive evaluation tools, with a particular focus on assessing organizational climate and culture.
Who should attend:
- Working professionals in a diversity role and are actively involved in implementing diversity leadership initiatives within their workplace, seeking to enhance their skills and strategies for promoting inclusivity.
- CEOs, Diversity Officers, and executives who acknowledge the need for transformative change in the workplace. This includes those in managerial and supervisory positions who want to drive positive organizational culture shifts in the workplace.
- Individuals currently holding leadership positions across various levels and departments, aiming to deepen their understanding of DE&I principles and integrate inclusive practices into their leadership approach.
You will be able to:
- Identify the elements that support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) evaluations, and consider how peer reviews can aid this process for your organization.
- Evaluate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within your organization and analyze comparisons to other organizations to determine their effectiveness.
- Recognize how implementing ethnography and strategic foresight can effectively address your organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) concerns, systemic discrimination, and social justice issues.
- Analyze the essential elements of a well-crafted diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) statement and assess its effectiveness.
